Personalized Instruction
As a music teacher of over 20 years, I have found that the best way to learn, refine, and excel at music is through one-on-one lessons. Every student is unique, and being able to tailor my instruction to each one’s needs, challenges, and desires is key not only to developing technique and musicality, but also to really love playing! Whether it’s preparing for a big audition or mastering a few tunes to play for friends and family, I pride myself on helping my students achieve their musical goals.

Convenient In-Home Lessons
Sometimes, music lessons are hard to fit into a busy schedule, especially if traveling is required. For this reason, I travel to my students instead, giving my lessons in the comfort of their homes. I find this is especially helpful for young children, many of whom can learn better in a familiar environment, and their parents, who may have to watch other siblings or even work from home in the next room. I am happy to teach in any space large enough to fit two people and their instruments.

All Are Welcome
I firmly believe that everyone can learn music, regardless of any challenges that at first may feel like obstacles. I have had success with students with a range of ability levels, including those with learning or developmental challenges.
I also believe you’re never too old for lessons! Adults who either pick up an old instrument or start a new one can have just as much fun and feel just as accomplished as young people. Don’t be afraid to give it a try!
Instruments Taught
I can teach and have taught students to play all of the orchestral string instruments:
Cello
Violin
Viola
Upright Bass
I am primarily a cellist, and so have the most experience with my chosen instrument, but I enjoy all of them!
